Fall Wedding Themes

With fall around the corner, wedding preparations are in a full swing. If you want your wedding in fall, refer to the following article on fall wedding themes. It will provide you with many cool ideas that will help you have the perfect wedding.
Falling leaves, gentle wind, and a slight chillness in the air, doesn't it sound like the perfect atmosphere for a wedding? You will find this idyllic atmosphere only in the fall season. There are many advantages of planning a wedding in fall. Firstly, you do not need to worry about a heatstroke or sudden shower, secondly, you do not need to spend a fortune on decorations, as you can find all the necessary decoration materials in nature itself.

Without a theme, a wedding becomes a little dull. And when you are ready with a wedding theme, you do not have to think about the invitations, decorations, and menu separately; you can think about all these factors in accordance to the theme.
Invitations
Try to include the theme in your invitation; you can do so by including the fall hues like burgundy, gold, orange, etc., in your invitation. If you are planning to have a printed invitation, you can add some typical features of fall like the maple tree or pumpkins. Also, make sure that your invitations convey clear information about the theme, date, venue, and time of the wedding. As far as the invitation wording is concerned, you can include something like the following.

Whether yellow, orange, brown, or gold the colors of fall
never grow old,
This is a reflection of their love
ever changing, yet
everlasting

Decorations
You can make use of hay bales or pumpkin leaves to give an informal look to the wedding. Make use of autumn leaves for the aisles, not the real ones but the polyurethane leaves. Use of flowers has become too common, so instead use ferns, grapevines, wheat, etc., for the decoration. Having the wedding in an area surrounded by a foliage is a great idea. You can have floral centerpieces or even better, floating candles surrounded by non-flammable leaves. You can add the leaves to the candle holders itself.

Halloween themed weddings are very popular; after all, Halloween falls in the autumn season itself. To infuse a Halloween factor in the decorations, all you have to do is add the main characteristics of Halloween―pumpkins. You can make card holders out of small pumpkins. You can combine fall leaves and tiny pumpkins to the arc. Fake jack-o-lanterns, Japanese lanterns, and yellow balloons complement the fall season perfectly.
Fall Wedding Menu
Just like the decorations, the food also needs to be in accordance to the theme. As the theme is fall season, try and include fruits and foods in abundant. Sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes, roasted turkey, oysters, enchiladas, chili rellenos, tamales etc., are some of the foods you can add to your menu. Filling foods like macaroni and cheese, rib roast, brisket and snacks like toasted nuts, pumpkin pie, cranberry sauce, creamed apples, pecan pie, and squashes can be served either as appetizers or desserts.

You can also serve fall-inspired beverages like apple cider with cinnamon or hot coffee with lots of cream or white chocolate syrups. Cake is a must at the weddings; for a fall themed wedding, you can have a pumpkin spice or apple cake, even carrot cakes are quite popular.
You can add your creativity to these ideas and come up with some more unique ones. The fall season will certainly add lots of colors to your wedding!
